Saint Titus
Very little reliable evidence has survived on the life and works of Saint Titus. Some sources give Corinth as his birthplace, others give Antioch and later ones claim he was a Cretan. Titus was a close associate of Saint Paul the Apostle, whom he accompanied to the Apostolic Synod in Jerusalem (probably in 49 AD), as well as to a number of missions to Europe and Asia. Titus was the first bishop of Crete; the Orthodox Church celebrates his feast day on 25th August.
