The Corpus Domini Procession
On the second Thursday after Pentecost, the procession of the Body of Christ (Corpus Domini) would be celebrated in Chandax with great pomp and splendour. Though this was one of the most important feast days in the Catholic Church calendar, the town's Orthodox residents would often take part in the procession. The town guilds would also participate, bearing their standards and flags.
