Lenio Renginaki
Entertainment

In those days young people would entertain themselves by going to the cinema or taking a stroll up to Eleftherias Square, or in summer further up to where the cemetery now is! After that I remember coming back or sitting outside the Doré, where there were various patisseries. Every Thursday the town band would play at the fountain, at the Lions, and we (at the Renginakis Patisserie) had the most customers. We had a small pavement outside the shop. When the cinema closed at around twelve we would put tables on the other side of the street, too, and we'd be really busy then.
