Mr. Yiannis Michelidakis was born in 1936 and spent his childhood in the 'State Quarter', later known as Tria Pefka (Three Pines), in the area around Mastambas. He spent his entire working life as a porter and carter, transporting suitcases and goods, as well as materials used to build modern Heraklion.
