The Church of St. George of Venice (San Giorgi Venetico) is located near the Venetian port, in the area known as Vareladika ("coopers' yards"), between the Church of St. Dimitrios and the port.

It is a large single-nave basilica with a roof built in three sections, none of which survive.

Under Ottoman rule the church was converted into the Capetan Ibrahim Pasha Mosque.

After the Turks left the island, like other buildings it was sold as exchangeable and used as a barrel warehouse for several years.

The church has now been declared a listed building, though it has no roof and is dilapidated.
