This church was located at the intersection of Mitsotaki St. and Agarathou St., a short difference from the port. The inventories of churches list it as Orthodox. Excavations carried out on privately owned land in the area have uncovered a central nave and arch together with a section of an arch in the north nave. These findings indicate that St. Nicholas was a two-nave basilica. On the other hand, they may form part of an earlier church lying at a lower level, thus fitting in with the pattern occurring at several excavation sites elsewhere in the town.
