This represents an attempt at further developing Greek Neoclassicism by means of heavy embellishment drawn from Central European architecture and art deco.
Despite the clearly discernible tendency to depart from Neoclassicism, certain features of composition, materials and shape were maintained. On the other hand, modern materials such as reinforced concrete were to bring about fundamental changes in the design of new buildings.
